Prey (2022) review

Prey (2022) is a true film and should be seen in person. It's unfortunate that Prey (2022) has been released online instead of being distributed by traditional distributors. It is truly a thrilling experience to see it with the Comanche dub. Dan Trachtenberg (the director) is eager to demonstrate with a grab bag of modern visual concepts and sturdy action choreography. It aligns perfectly with John McTiernan's survivalist sensibility. This is far more than the original film's unsettling feelings and John McTiernan’s classic flourish. It is filled with beautiful images of forest vistas. The soundtrack and sound design also add to the sense of being immersed. The movie is carried by Amber Midthunder, who plays Naru, with a lead performance that is largely wordless. Her fast gestures and facial emotions set the mood for the entire movie, starting in the opening scene and ending with the dramatic clash in the third. It (mentioned here) was so horrifying and horrific! It is amazing to see Predator making a comeback.
